Anyone can use our website for free, so why become a member of Consider Biking? Well, if only riding a bike were as simple as...uh...riding a bike! But modern life and our car culture can make cycling seem less fun than it's meant to be. The board of Consider Biking is working tirelessly to assure that physical and cultural barriers to bicycling in Central Ohio are reduced or eliminated. But our initiatives (below) also require cash & a huge membership base to be successful - so please "Consider Giving" to the cycling cause as much as you're able to afford. Thank you, from us and from all cyclists! advocacy Consider Biking advocates on behalf of cyclists at all levels of government. We work to ensure the safety and comfort of every cyclist and believe that all Central Ohioans will benefit from access to bicycle facilities and a complete bikeways network. [e.g. Bicentennial Bikeways Plan, ODOT’s 21st Century Transportation Priorities Task Force, Complete Streets, Helmet Law] community & outreach Consider Biking creates a powerful dialogue within Central Ohio’s diverse cycling population. We reach out to all types of cyclists and would-be cyclists, welcoming all who are inspired to ride. [e.g. considerbiking.org] education Consider Biking works to eliminate the educational barriers to safe cycling—among cyclists, motorists, and law enforcement. We connect people to resources that help them learn the rules of the road. [e.g. Safe Routes to School] culture Consider Biking fosters a vibrant culture for bicycling in Central Ohio. We help create cultural acceptance of and excitement for cycling—and have fun doing it! [e.g. Bike to Work Week, Bike+Art=Show] JOIN US TODAY! (1)
