BTW, folks can join the challenge any time through August 31st, so its never too late to ride and win prizes.
Participating in the Ohio Bike Challenge isn’t just fun—it’s really important. Here's why:We need more safe places to bicycle, here in Central Ohio, around the Buckeye State and across the U.S. The rides you log will be added to those logged by hundreds of thousands of other cyclists across the country. We'll use this tidal wave of information in Washington and at the Statehouse to win more and safer places for you to bicycle!
Also, all of Consider Biking's Bike Month and Bike to Work Competition incentives will be linked to your participation with the Ohio Bike Challenge.
Finally, show that Buckeye Pride! When Consider Biking was at the National Bike Summit in April, bicycle advocates in other states blew us alot of cr*p saying that we're not riding here in Ohio! Let's prove these people wrong!
BTW, if you’re using RideNet, please sign up for The Ohio Bike Challenge and use the new ride logging software, Endomondo. Because our state challenge is part of the larger National Bike Challenge sponsored by the League of American Bicyclists, we need to ask you to use the new system.
We know RideNet has great features. That’s why we're working with both RideNet and Endomondo to allow you to log only on RideNet and have those rides automatically go on Endomondo. Unfortunately, this won't happen over the summer, so we're hoping you'll add Endomondo to your daily logging.
Believe it! We're working for you.
Questions? Contact bryan@considerbiking.org. Want to help spread the word? Use that same email address, bryan@considerbiking.org, and we'll send you the tools for Facebook, your blog, etc. We certainly can use your help.
Thanks and happy, safe riding!
