<p>If you&#39;re making your plans for this weekend, don&#39;t forget to put the Tour de Grandview Cycling Classic activities on your calendar. &nbsp;Here&#39;s a short summary of the weekend&#39;s activities, and I&#39;d like your help in sharing this information with family, FaceBook friends, customers or co-workers so that we can get a great turnout. &nbsp;It&#39;s as easy as forwarding them the attached flyer or inviting them to meet you in Grandview!</p>
<p>Saturday June 26: Street Party and Kids&#39; Sprints</p>
<p>5:00 pm Kids Sprints registration &#8211; Grandview Avenue, in front of Grandview Theatre</p>
<p>5:30 &nbsp; &nbsp;Sprints, free and open to all kids 5-10; bring helmet, bike, and a parent&#39;s signature. &nbsp;Parents, bring cameras!</p>
<p>6:00 &nbsp; &nbsp;Kids Sprints awards ceremony with helmet give-away on main stage, Grandview Avenue, across from Jeni&#39;s Splendid Ice Cream. &nbsp;Thank you to Nationwide Children&#39;s Hospital and Members First Credit Union for sponsoring this adorable event!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img alt="" align="left" width="160" height="120" src="http://www.considerbiking.org/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/Bernice Deb_sm.jpg" />Consider Biking is excited to partner with the Mayor &quot;Bikin&#8217; MIke&quot; Coleman, the City of Columbus, the Institute for Active Living&nbsp;and numerous other organizations to present a weekend festival on&nbsp;<strong>Friday, July 16 &ndash; Saturday, July 17, and Sunday August 1, 2010</strong>. We are excited to build a festival that brings together multiple bicycling endeavors, will focuses attention on the bicycling, and raise funds and resources for bicycling-related projects and efforts.</p>
<p>Our Festival Steering Committee is still working out the details and we&rsquo;ll announce scheduling details in the coming weeks. This much we know &#8211; We&rsquo;ll&nbsp;host the Mayor&#8217;s Twilight Tour&nbsp;on Friday night to kick off the festival.&nbsp;And, we&rsquo;ll launch a unique bike swap meet and experience venue to showcase all the trinkets and gear that we bicyclists live for!&nbsp;You&rsquo;ll not want to miss this festive event geared toward all bicyclists! On Saturday, we&rsquo;ll host the Steve Barbour Memorial Tour which will include everything from family-friendly urban rides to a 200k challenge into Hocking County and back.</p>
<p>And, on Sunday, August 1st, we&rsquo;ll welcome the region&rsquo;s top racers at the 7th annual Garrett Wonders Race in downtown Columbus.</p>
<p>We look forward to showcasing bicycling and our pedaling revolution in a new and exciting way in 2010. Stay tuned&hellip;..</p>

<p>Join Columbus Outdoor Pursuits and Jeff Stephens from local bicycle advocacy organization &quot;Consider Biking&quot; to learn about the pedaling revolution in Central Ohio. Consider Biking is a valuable partner of Columbus Outdoor Pursuits, advancing the planning, engineering, and legislative initiatives that increase the safety and opportunities for bicycling. The scope of their work spans encouraging people to use bicycles as active transportation, to supporting the Safe Routes to School program for our children.</p>
<p>Consider Biking is hosting the Bike Columbus festival in July 2010. COP is partnering in the Festival to manage the Steve Barbour Memorial Day Ride to increase the safety on our roads. Come learn more about the nationally recognized work of Consider Biking, and the Bike Columbus Festival. <br />
